Aarts, spearheaded an ambitious and transformative six-month project in collaboration with "Phases", an innovative and pioneering startup dedicated to revolutionizing the skincare industry specifically for teens and tweens within India. The comprehensive scope of this project meticulously encompassed every aspect of strategic brand development, which included the creation and refinement of branding identity, the innovative design and production of packaging, and the meticulous design and development of an engaging, user-friendly e-commerce website.

Business Problem, Solution, and Positive Outcomes
Phases addressed a gap in the Indian market for specialized skincare for teens and tweens. Aarts strategically crafted the brand, leveraging the name "Phases" to resonate with the emotional journey of this demographic. The logo, featuring a half moon symbolizing emotional phases, showcased inclusivity with faces of a boy and a girl, establishing it as a unisex brand. Vibrant hand-drawn watercolor illustrations personalized the brand's visual language, adorning packaging and website alike. This meticulous design approach earned accolades, with the startup featured and praised on the Indian reality show "Indian Angels" on Jio Cinema.
Story telling was key to the success of this project. Since it is one of the pioneers in the skin care for teens, the story had to come out strongly. Thus we created a personalized and distinctive illustration style for the brand, and created full-bleed visual scenes to depict the product mood, use, ingredients, and the characters.

Aarts developed a seamless, engaging e-commerce website that combined intuitive navigation with vibrant visuals, mirroring the brand's playful yet professional identity. The site leveraged dynamic hand-drawn watercolor illustrations and a responsive design, ensuring an accessible and delightful shopping experience across devices. Tailored for the needs of teens and tweens, the platform featured personalized recommendations and interactive elements, fostering connection and trust. This digital manifestation of Phases not only elevated its market presence but also established it as a trailblazer in the Indian skincare industry.
We aimed and succeeded in creating a purchasing experience that’s not just about selling the product, but educating the audiences about the problems, possible solutions, and then steering them towards the respective products.
